Questions

What would you like to know?

1. How does Straights treatment work?

Straights treatment uses a series of custom-made clear aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. Your journey begins with a consultation and 3D scan at your local provider, who will create a personalised treatment plan. You’ll wear each set of aligners for about 1-2 weeks, progressively moving your teeth into their desired position.

2. How long does treatment take?

Treatment duration varies depending on your individual needs, but most cases are completed within 3-12 months. Mild cases can take as little as 3-4 months, while moderate cases typically take 6-8 months, and complex cases may take 9-12 months. Your provider will give you a more accurate timeline during your consultation.

3. How much does Straights treatment cost?

Treatment costs vary based on the complexity of your case and treatment duration. Prices typically range from £1,599 for mild cases to £3,399 for complex cases. Many providers offer flexible payment plans starting from £33 per month. Schedule a consultation with the Straights team to get a personalised quote.

Everything you need to know about

Yes, you should wear your aligners for 20-22 hours per day, only removing them to eat, drink (except water), brush, and floss.

Most people experience mild discomfort for a few days when starting a new set of aligners. This is normal and indicates the aligners are working to move your teeth.

You should remove your aligners when eating or drinking anything except water. This helps prevent staining and damage to your aligners.

Clean your aligners daily using a soft toothbrush and lukewarm water. Avoid hot water as it can warp the aligners. Special aligner cleaning solutions are also available.

After completing your treatment, you’ll need to wear retainers to maintain your new smile. Your provider will recommend a retainer wearing schedule based on your specific case.

Some people experience a slight lisp when first wearing their aligners, but this typically resolves within a few days as you adjust to wearing them.

Contact your provider immediately if you lose or damage your aligners. They will advise whether to move to your next set or order replacements to ensure your treatment stays on track.
